The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monsoon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

McGuiness might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Monsoon lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

McGuiness takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Monsoon counters with a three punch combo that has McGuiness backing up. McGuiness nods at Monsoon to acknowledge the strikes.
Monsoon bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

McGuiness cracks Monsoon with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. McGuiness has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Monsoon to stand back up!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Monsoon lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as McGuiness backs up against the cage.

McGuiness cracks Monsoon with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Monsoon looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can McGuiness finish him?


Monsoon is rocked!
A punch lands to the side of McGuiness 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Oh Monsoon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Monsoon feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McGuinesss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Monsoon seems to have got his legs back now.
McGuiness closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Monsoon ducks under a wild hook from McGuiness.
McGuiness misses with an uppercut.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

McGuiness lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Liam McGuiness!
Mikey Monsoon was interviewed post fight and said 'The better man won today and I wish him luck in the rest of the tournament. I'm going to get back in the gym and train my ass off!'.
