The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clavet moves away from the strike by Chair.
Clavet throws a body punch but Chair moves out of range.
We've been hearing reports that Chair has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Clavet avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Clavet has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
A lazy left from Chair finds it's target.
Chair shoots in for a takedown but Clavet shows good takedown defense.
Clavet has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Chair misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Clavet lands a body shot.
Clavet takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Clavet lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chair circles away quickly and effectively.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Chair enables Clavet to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chair manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Chair escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Clavet gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Chair working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clavet doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Chair is tightening it up a little... Clavet has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Clavet reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Clavet taps out! Nice BJJ there by Chair!

In his post fight interview, Carpet Chair started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
