The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jooseffi throws a poor cross that misses

and Brown counters by moving into the clinch.
Jooseffi tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Brown tries for a takedown but Jooseffi manages to get underhooks.
Brown is looking to control Jooseffi's arms but Jooseffi gets an underhook and turns him. Now Brown has his back to the cage.

Brown successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Brown wants to stand up but Jooseffi is controlling him.
Jooseffi stays in close to Brown's body and controls the position.
Brown is trying to control the position but Jooseffi postures up.
Jooseffi wants to get up but he can't break Brown's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Gaddafin Jooseffi just wasn't active enough.

Brown tries to clinch up but Jooseffi pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Brown to the mat! Brown covers up and Jooseffi unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
