Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Martin Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirt McGirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Martin Hewitt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, Dirt McGirt!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Hewitt blocks the leg kick.
Hewitt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McGirt.
Horrible takedown by Hewitt or perhaps it was just good defense by McGirt which made him look bad.
Hewitt avoids the head kick by McGirt.
McGirt looks to throw the jab but Hewitt is out of range.

Hewitt has a takedown stuffed.
Hewitt shoots in looking for a takedown but McGirt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hewitt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We've been hearing good reports from Hewitt's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

I would just about give that final round to Dirt McGirt.
