Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bad Idea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buzz Cloltran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Idea's entrance music is Boss of All Bosses . A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Cloltran's choice of entrance music: F**k What Happens Tonight. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bad Idea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Buzz Cloltran!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Idea closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cloltran to the mat! Cloltran manages to get full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Idea throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cloltran works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've been hearing that Idea has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Idea is controlling the pace.

Idea is looking to take a break and control but Cloltran is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Idea throws a strike but Cloltran rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Idea is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cloltran stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Idea swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Idea had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cloltran defends it easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cloltran is working Idea over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Bad Idea dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Idea feints and then cracks Cloltran's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cloltran down.
Cloltran keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cloltran bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Idea's head.
Cloltran throws a front kick aimed at Idea's knee but Idea avoids it well.

Cloltran has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cloltran there as he acknowledges the shot.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Idea stuns Cloltran with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Idea.
Idea takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Cloltran swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bad Idea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cloltran cracks Idea with a good jab.
Cloltran loads up on a big right hand but Idea slips the punch.
Idea misses with a series of wild punches.
Cloltran tries to close the distance and clinch up but Idea swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cloltran fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Idea's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cloltran under the eye.
Idea throws a nice inside leg kick.
Idea throws a front kick aimed at Cloltran's knee but Cloltran avoids it well.
Cloltran fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Idea manages to avoid it.
Idea scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Cloltran throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Idea sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cloltran closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Cloltran lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Cloltran misses with a straight right.
Sloppy strikes from Cloltran. Those never looked like landing.

Idea scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cloltran is not content to let Idea control the position.
Idea advances nicely into full mount.
Cloltran holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Idea tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Idea working the ground and pound effectively.
Idea has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cloltran slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Cloltran is looking to control Idea's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cloltran avoid being mounted?

That was a close second round but I would say that Bad Idea will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Idea lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Cloltran moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bad Idea showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Idea, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
