PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Mubarak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Garret (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mubarak might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Steel Panther - Gloryhole. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mubarak misses with an uppercut
letting Garret counter with a right hand.
Jacques Mubarak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mubarak shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Garret defends it nicely.
Garret scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mubarak doesn't seem bothered though.

and Garret counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Garret looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mubarak shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Garret sprawls well. Garret wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mubarak gets slowly back to his feet.

Mubarak looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Garret wants to control from the top but Mubarak keeps moving.

Garret is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mubarak has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Garret is looking to defend but Mubarak has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Garret! Mubarak pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Garret taps out and this one is all over!

A less than humble Jacques Mubarak misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
