Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Corpus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ortiz's choice of entrance music: I am a real American. John Corpus could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Randy Ortiz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 27 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Randy Ortiz!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz loads up on a big right hand but Corpus slips the punch.
Ortiz misses with a takedown attempt - Corpus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Corpus takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Ortiz drives through with a takedown into Corpus's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Corpus keeping moving, preventing Ortiz from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Randy Ortiz.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Randy Ortiz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Ortiz shoots in looking for a takedown but Corpus manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ortiz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ortiz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Corpus sprawls well. Corpus wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ortiz gets slowly back to his feet.

Ortiz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Corpus, who protects the arm well.

Randy Ortiz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ortiz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
