The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nope closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Nope tries to stand but Gill is controlling his head.

Gill really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nope tries to close the distance and clinch but Gill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gill tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nope was well out of range. Poor timing from Gill.
God Nope is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Gill counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Nope tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nope shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Nope is thwarting Gill's attempts to control the position.
Nope seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Gill is looking to control Nope's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gill avoid being mounted?

We're going to have a standup here because Lupe Gill wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Nope gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Gill regains guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lupe Gill has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
God Nope is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

God Nope comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Nope has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
