Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lester Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romano Schoots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lester Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Romano Schoots!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Green.
Schoots tries to clinch but Green is having none of it.
Schoots with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Schoots dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Green. That did some damage!
Schoots doesn't manage to clinch there - Green circles away.
Schoots throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Schoots lands with an uppercut that bounces Green off the cage and back into range.
Schoots takes a swing at Green's ribcage but misses.
Schoots connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Green tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Green shoots for a double leg takedown but Schoots sprawls well. He's pushed Green's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Schoots chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Green can pounce on him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Schoots lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Green steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Schoots.
Schoots lands an overhand right.
Schoots throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Schoots cracks Green with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Schoots throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Green misses with a head kick.

Green closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Green lands in his opponent's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Schoots is on top in guard.
Green is trying to control the position but Schoots postures up.

Schoots throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Green works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Green working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schoots doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schoots manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Green is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Schoots content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Schoots must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Schoots cracks Green with a solid left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Romano Schoots dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Green swats away the attempt to clinch by Schoots.

and Green counters with a nice double leg into side control. Schoots won't be happy with that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Schoots tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green misses with the ground and pound.
Green controlling the position.
Green wants to control but Schoots is keeping him busy.

Green swings around for an armbar but Schoots sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Green's guard.
Green tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Schoots makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Schoots postures up and lands a big shot to Green's brow.

Schoots got a little sloppy there for a moment and Green has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Schoots has managed to get both his arms back between Green's legs - danger averted.
Green wants to sweep here but Schoots controlling him for the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Schoots accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lester Green overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Schoots lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Green looking for a sweep. Not yet Green, not yet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh but Green is tightening it up a little... Schoots has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Schoots reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Schoots taps out! Nice BJJ there by Green!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Lester Green!
A very excited looking Lester Green made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
