Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sailo Damtea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anatoliy Lapikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damtea comes to the cage accompanied by Ne Compare Pas (GSP Entrance Song). Lapikov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: AC/DC - Hells Bells . Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Anatoliy Lapikov enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sailo Damtea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anatoliy Lapikov!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Hugh Johnson and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damtea has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Damtea there as he acknowledges the shot.
Lapikov misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lapikov avoids the head kick by Damtea.
Damtea throws a head kick but Lapikov moves out of range.
Lapikov avoids the head kick by Damtea.

Lapikov shoots in looking for a takedown. Damtea tries to sprawl out of it but Lapikov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Damtea manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

It looks like Anatoliy Lapikov has been cut.
Sailo Damtea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lapikov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Lapikov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Damtea's guard.

Damtea escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lapikov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lapikov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lapikov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Damtea has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lapikov has managed to get both his arms back between Damtea's legs - danger averted.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lapikov is working Damtea over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A big shot lands for Lapikov! That's hurt Damtea! Will he recover? Lapikov fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
