Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Childish Gambino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Petrenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gambino comes to the cage accompanied by Freaks and Geeks. Petrenko has chosen Bro Hymm/ Pennywise as his entrance music. Dmitry Petrenko acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gambino on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Petrenko blocks a head kick by Gambino.
Petrenko fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gambino.
Gambino ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Petrenko moves away.
Petrenko dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Petrenko misses with a jab, cross combination.
Petrenko avoids the head kick by Gambino.
Gambino swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sloppy strikes from Gambino. Those never looked like landing.

Petrenko has picked Gambino up - he's going for a ride! Petrenko dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gambino manages to get to full guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Petrenko working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Petrenko throws an elbow that misses. Gambino uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Petrenko's guard. Nice move by Gambino!

Gambino wants to control from the top but Petrenko keeps moving.
Gambino pushes down on Petrenko's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Petrenko slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Gambino trying to stand up but can't free himself from Petrenko's guard.
Gambino will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Petrenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gambino can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gambino trying to control the position from guard on top but Petrenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gambino would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Petrenko has his hands on Gambino's head, controlling the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dmitry Petrenko wasn't active enough on the ground.
Petrenko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gambino swivels and escapes.

Petrenko ducks right into an uppercut from Gambino.
Good leg kick by Petrenko there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Petrenko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gambino throws a left and a right that both miss
and Petrenko makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
No joy there for Petrenko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Petrenko shoots for a double leg takedown but Gambino sprawls well. He's pushed Petrenko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Petrenko tries to land a leg kick but Gambino saw it coming and moves away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Petrenko throws a wild body kick that Gambino sees coming a mile off.
Gambino circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice defenses there by Gambino.

Petrenko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Gambino looks to land a combination. Petrenko sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Petrenko shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Petrenko lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gambino backwards.
Gambino tries to break free but Petrenko pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Petrenko's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Petrenko lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Gambino looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Gambino scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Petrenko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gambino is fending him off so far but Petrenko persists. Nope, Gambino circles away and we're back to standing.
Gambino throws a nice looking combination but Petrenko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Petrenko moves in looking to clinch but Gambino pushes him off.
Childish Gambino is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gambino throws a lazy uppercut

and Petrenko counters with a shoot takedown. Gambino fights it but they end up in guard.
Petrenko with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Gambino pushes a forearm under Petrenko's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Petrenko is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
