Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sudo Nym (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Shlemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sudo Nym had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Fedor Shlemenko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nym will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nym's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Shlemenko is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Nym uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shlemenko.

and Shlemenko counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Nym throws a series of punches but Shlemenko avoids them all with ease.

Nym tries to bum rush Shlemenko with a series of wild strikes but Shlemenko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Shlemenko throws a body kick that misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Nym crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shlemenko - the referee stops the clock and Nym gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shlemenko. Nym manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Shlemenko fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nym has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That kick from Shlemenko tenderised Nym's leg. Nym is trying to keep his angry face on.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Nym is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Shlemenko displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nym throws out the jab.
Nym walks straight into a right hand from Shlemenko - that's dropped him! Shlemenko jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Nym from any more punishment! Nym complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
