Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hemp Weed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scotty Barrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barrett comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Les Paul and Mary Ford ~ I'm A Fool To Care kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Scotty Barrett is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weed closes the distance looking to clinch

and Barrett counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Weed is looking to improve his position.
Barrett tries to stand and escape but Weed is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Barrett might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Scotty Barrett hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nice combo by Barrett! Oh, that's hurt him - Weed falls to the canvas and Barrett follows him into side control.

Barrett has hold of Weed's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Weed tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Barrett cranks the arm and Weed screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Weed, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Scotty Barrett bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
