Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jeferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zurab Sergeev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Jeferson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zurab Sergeev!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sergeev throws a push kick but Jeferson slaps the foot to one side.
Jeferson shoots and misses

and Sergeev counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jeferson's guard now.
Jeferson keeping moving, preventing Sergeev from controlling successfully.
Sergeev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jeferson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jeferson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Sergeev drops back looking for a leg! Jeferson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jeferson manages to kick Sergeev off! Sergeev jumps back into Jeferson's guard.

Sergeev postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jeferson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sergeev, into his guard.

Sergeev is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jeferson is aware though and is defending well.

Jeferson wants to pass the guard but Sergeev is keeping the position.

Sergeev has his foot on Jeferson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jeferson works his way back into a safe position though.

Sergeev working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jeferson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jeferson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jeferson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jeferson is looking to work some ground and pound but Sergeev has wrist control.

Sergeev pushes a forearm under Jeferson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jeferson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
