The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rad lands with a kick to the temple. Crowe shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Stanton Crowe has been cut.
Crowe lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Rad avoids the body shot from Crowe.
The fighters circling - Crowe throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Crowe has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Rad.
Rad misses with a head kick.
Rad connects with a single shot there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Crowe counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rad's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Rad is staying active underneath Crowe, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rad is in trouble now - Crowe has advanced to mount!
Rad is desperately trying to improve his position but Crowe has a good base and remains in mount.

Stanton Crowe spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
