The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shifter ducks under a wild hook from Alcaraz.
Shifter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Alcaraz misses with a double jab.
Alcaraz connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shifter. Shifter circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
