The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poullin pushes Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva can't break the clinch.
We've been informed that Poullin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Silva has had enough of the clinch but Poullin keeps him there for the moment.
Silva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Silva is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Poullin is looking for a takedown.

Poullin stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Silva throws up his legs and catches Poullin in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Poullin tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Silva! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Marcos Silva!
After winning the bout, Marcos Silva thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
