Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Schneider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Rig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schneider's entrance music is What Would David Schneider Do?. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Schneider!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Big Rig!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schneider gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Rig counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Rig trying to control but Schneider is working from the bottom.
Schneider lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rig!
Schneider will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rig working to try and regain half guard.
Schneider looking to control but Rig is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Schneider jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rig manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Schneider tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Rig told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Schneider goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rig has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Schneider but great work by Rig.

Rig content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Schneider manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rig manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rig tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Schneider regains half guard.
Rig looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Rig is trying to work for a kimura but Schneider is defending well.
Schneider moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Schneider is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Schneider throwing shots but Rig is blocking nicely.

Schneider seems to be working for a kimura but Rig defends the submission attempt.
Rig is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rig is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Schneider pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that David Schneider will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Rig clinches.

Rig pulls guard.
Schneider postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Rig keeping moving, preventing Schneider from controlling successfully.
Schneider stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rig swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rig looking for subs off his back but Schneider has passed one foot through into half guard.
David Schneider overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rig looking for submissions off his back.
We've been hearing that Schneider has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Schneider is looking for a kimura but Rig is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Schneider to get the leverage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rig is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Schneider is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Rig is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). David Schneider!
David Schneider decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
