Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivar Lodbrok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Madden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lodbrok kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Killing in the name of.... Ivar Lodbrok could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Casey Madden's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ivar Lodbrok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Casey Madden!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Madden crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lodbrok - the referee stops the clock and Madden gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lodbrok. Madden manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Madden swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lodbrok takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Madden has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A head kick misses from Madden.
Madden just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromLodbrok.
Lodbrok bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Madden's head.

Lodbrok uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Madden.

Lodbrok fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Madden.

Madden does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Lodbrok fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Madden has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Madden throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Madden missing with a left hand there. Lodbrok was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lodbrok looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Madden shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lodbrok manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Madden postures up in Lodbrok's guard and throws a big left but Lodbrok blocks it.

Lodbrok is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lodbrok will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Madden is working Lodbrok over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Madden in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Madden's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Lodbrok is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Madden swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ivar Lodbrok will probably get the nod.

Madden turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Lodbrok is looking to wear down Madden with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lodbrok lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Madden has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Madden and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Madden has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Lodbrok.

Lodbrok lands a big head kick that sends Madden tumbling to the mat! Lodbrok takes a step backwards and waves Madden back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ivar Lodbrok decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Casey Madden stepped up to the mic, saying 'Hey props, always gonna be a tough fight in the clinch. I will be back.'.
