Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sisa Yiftos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogdan Mitrovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitrovic has chosen Stabwound as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Yiftos. Those never looked like landing.

It looks like Bogdan Mitrovic has been cut.

We've been hearing reports that Yiftos has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

No joy there for Yiftos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Yiftos prevents a body shot from Mitrovic.
Mitrovic is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yiftos is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mitrovic to the mat. Mitrovic regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Yiftos postures up.
Yiftos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Yiftos wants to pass the guard but Mitrovic is keeping the position.

Yiftos forces his way into half guard.
Mitrovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yiftos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mitrovic is looking for a sweep. Yiftos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Yiftos wants to pass to mount but Mitrovic is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Yiftos seems content to control.
Yiftos tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mitrovic knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Yiftos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mitrovic is just riding it out for now. Yiftos eventually gives up the hold.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mitrovic felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Mitrovic is defending against the submission attempts here by Yiftos.
Mitrovic tries to get to full guard but Yiftos has control of the leg.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Yiftos looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Yiftos is looking to take a break and control but Mitrovic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mitrovic takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Yiftos throws a right and a left that Mitrovic avoids nicely.
Yiftos feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mitrovics jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sisa Yiftos dominated that round.

Mitrovic walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Yiftos swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
