The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Halo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Halo happy to just control the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cervantes tries to improve position but can't.
Halo cracks Cervantes with a big right hand but Cervantes just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Halo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Cervantes's shoulder. That is not cool.
Cervantes tries to bench press Halo off him but Halo keeps the position.
Cervantes is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Halo has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Cervantes!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Halo is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Cervantes is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Cervantes flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Halo anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Cervantes and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Halo slips an arm under Cervantes chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Halo has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Halo is squeezing on Cervantes like an anaconda would it's prey. Cervantes fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
