Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voodoo Daddy comes to the cage accompanied by Mambo Swing. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacob Smith!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voodoo Daddy throws a head kick that misses.

Smith gets a clinch.
Smith looking for a takedown.
Voodoo Daddy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Smith drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Voodoo Daddy gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smith shoots for a takedown but Voodoo Daddy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacob Smith.
Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Voodoo Daddy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Smith's guard.

Voodoo Daddy drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Voodoo Daddy off! Voodoo Daddy jumps back into Smith's guard.

Voodoo Daddy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Voodoo Daddy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Voodoo Daddy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smith looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Voodoo Daddy is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Smith looks calm but he's in trouble here. Voodoo Daddy gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Smith is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Voodoo Daddy lets go of the hold and Smith can pop his arm back in it's socket.
