The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villasenor tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Barbosa defends well and Villasenor ends up having to push Barbosa into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Horrible takedown attempt by Villasenor or perhaps it was just good defense by Barbosa, which made it look bad.
Barbosa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Villasenor has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Villasenor is trying desperately to land a takedown but Barbosa is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Villasenor.
