Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julle Hallava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Scarpa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hallava's entrance music is Nightcall. A fine choice. Gregory Scarpa acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scarpa walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hallava checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Scarpa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Scarpa thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hallava if he has to take too many more of those.
Hallava lands a jab to the head.
Hallava throws a push kick but Scarpa slaps the foot to one side.
Scarpa has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hallava throws a lazy right hand but Scarpa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hallava. Scarpa does a little dance to reset his feet.

Scarpa has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hallava is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Scarpa.
