The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell tries for a takedown but Hayha sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hayha works over Russell's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Lyndon Russell has been cut.
Hayha stuffs the takedown attempt from Russell. Russell gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck for Russell with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lyndon Russell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hayha throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hayha stuffs the takedown.
Russell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hayha.
Hayha connects with a right hand. Russell shakes it off.
Hayha throws a leg kick but Russell sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hayha defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Russell.
Russell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hayha's waist but Hayha gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Russell off to one side.
Hayha drops Russell with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Russell! Hayha dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Simo Hayha!
