The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Halo. Chulainn does a little dance to reset his feet.
Halo throws a leg kick that misses.
Halo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Chulainn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chulainn fails in his attempt to clinch.
Halo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chulainn. That did some damage!

Halo's coaches at Araba Fenice have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Halo tries to get to full guard but Chulainn has control of the leg.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Chulainn moves into range and clinches up with Halo.
Chulainn changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Halo fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Chulainn takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Chulainn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Halo sprawls well. Halo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chulainn gets slowly back to his feet.
Spartacus Halo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cuu Chulainn.
Halo throws a nice looking combination but Chulainn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Whack! Halo lands a heavy head kick that drops Chulainn. The ref tackles Halo to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Chulainn was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Spartacus Halo!
