The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mirko lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Foley has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Foley and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Mirko lands a jab to Foley's midsection.
Foley doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mirko is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Mirko stops Foley from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Foley wants to finish this one by submission but Mirko is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Foley.
Mirko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Foley on the ground.

Foley is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mirko is surviving well by controlling Foley's body position as best he can.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Foley takes Mirko's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Mirko is in trouble.
Well, with Foley on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Mirko is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Foley looking to break Mirko's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Mirko remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Foley will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
