Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Thorpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes to the cage accompanied by Ringfinger. Thorpe has chosen Tom Sawyer by Rush as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Thorpe!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorpe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Williams loads up on a big right hand but Thorpe slips the punch.
Williams lands a nice looking body shot.

Williams is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Thorpe's half guard.

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thorpe defends it well.
Williams trying to pass the guard but Thorpe defending well.
Thorpe is looking to escape.
Williams trying to control from half guard but Thorpe is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thorpe is defending against the submission attempts here by Williams.

Williams throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Thorpe keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Williams stalling.
Williams wants to control but Thorpe is keeping him busy.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Williams in particular looking to stall.

Thorpe is trying to stand.

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thorpe defends it well.
Williams is keen to just control but Thorpe is a slippery customer.
Williams not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Williams wants to work for an arm triangle but Thorpe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Williams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thorpe's head.
Williams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Williams is controlling the pace.
Williams scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Thorpe is staying active underneath Williams, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Williams wants to free his trapped foot but Thorpe is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Williams is keen to just control but Thorpe is a slippery customer.
Thorpe taking some punishment here, with Williams in his half guard.

Thorpe kicks Williams off and gets back to his feet.
Thorpe darts in looking for a takedown but Williams gets double underhooks and turns Thorpe into the cage.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Williams keeps control of Thorpe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Williams breaks the clinch.
Thorpe throws a series of strikes that have Williams backpedaling.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice jab there from Williams.


It looks like Scott Thorpe has been cut.
Williams missing with a left hand there. Thorpe was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Williams circles away from the clinch attempt.
Williams has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Thorpe looks for a takedown but Williams sprawls well.
Jackson Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Thorpe.
Thorpe has his takedown stuffed
and Williams counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Williams leaves Thorpe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Williams connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson Williams dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Scott Thorpe's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Williams scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Williams swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Thorpe moves away from the strike by Williams.

Williams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Thorpe wants to get back to his feet but Williams drags him back down.
Williams is working Thorpe over with some ground and pound from side control.
Williams moves into full mount!
Williams won't let Thorpe get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Williams throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Thorpe because Williams loaded up on that one.
Williams looking to control but Thorpe is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Williams with shots to the head and body - Thorpe looks very uncomfortable down there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thorpe is bucking up trying to escape but Williams cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Williams can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Thorpe is looking to escape.
Williams pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


That has opened up Scott Thorpe's cut even more.
Williams throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Williams lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.


The cut above Scott Thorpe's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thorpe wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
We've been informed that Thorpe has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Williams scores with a couple of good head shots there.


Scott Thorpe's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Scott Thorpe's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jackson Williams!
A very excited looking Jackson Williams made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated Scott Thorpe had this to say: 'I need more PEDs for the next fight. Who's got the od juice?'.
