Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Elwood Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eus Visser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Elwood Bass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eus Visser!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Visser scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Visser keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Visser is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bass defends it well.
Visser wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bass keeps working.
Visser passes into side control, despite Bass's attempt to control the position.
Bass is trying to control Visser's posture but Visser avoids it.

Visser tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Visser has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bass tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bass is trying to control Visser's posture but Visser avoids it.
Bass is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Bass tries to buck Visser off but Visser is having none of it.
Bass gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Visser is looking for a kimura but Bass is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Visser to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Visser stops Bass from getting back to his feet.
Visser is taking a breather. Bass says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bass gets full guard.

Bass has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Visser is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Bass tries for a takedown but Visser manages to get underhooks.

Visser manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Visser working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bass.

Visser is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bass is aware though and is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bass in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Visser throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Visser is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Visser is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bass cracks Visser with a solid left hand.
Bass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bass loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Visser is trying to keep Bass in close.
Visser might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bass haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Eus Visser has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Visser throws a sloppy head kick
and Bass counters with a left to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Visser tries to clinch there but Bass circles away.

Visser shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bass is trying to defend but Visser finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Visser looks winded!
Bass tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Visser has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eus Visser dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Bass tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Visser gets to his feet - Bass follows without any prompting.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Eus Visser hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Visser scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Visser.
Bass is trying to control Visser's posture but Visser avoids it.

Visser is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bass has escaped the position, nice work there.
Visser is breathing heavily.
Bass struggling a bit here.
Eus Visser has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bass sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Bass is trying to control but can't.
Bass blocking the ground and pound attempt from Visser.
Visser blocks the strikes from Bass.
Bass wants to control but Visser is keeping busy.

Bass looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Bass tries to roll over but Visser keeps him under control.
Visser frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Visser takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bass is looking to get to half guard.
Bass holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Visser tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eus Visser showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Visser fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bass to the ground. Visser is now in Bass's guard.
Bass is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Visser wants to control from the top but Bass keeps moving.
Visser is standing up over Bass. Bass looks to escape but Visser dives into side control.
Visser wants to control but Bass is keeping him busy.

Bass is trying to control Visser's posture but Visser avoids it.
Visser postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bass stops Visser from passing to mount.
Visser controlling the position from side mount.
Bass manages to work his way to half guard, despite Visser's best efforts.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Visser with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Visser prevents Bass from improving his position.
Bass keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Eus Visser.

Visser scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bass tries to improve position but can't.
Bass struggling a bit here.
Visser advances to full mount.
Visser is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Bass is in real trouble.
Visser controls the position.
Let's hope that Visser has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Visser takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bass wants to get back to his feet.
Visser tries to keep control of the position but Bass is staying busy.
Visser is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Visser gets his hands free as Bass looks to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Visser controlling the position well here. Bass rolled but Visser kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Elwood Bass has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Eus Visser is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Visser is trying to stick to Bass's back but Bass is turning into Visser. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Visser's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bass.

And that's the end of the fight!
Eus Visser comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Visser has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
