The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tyson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Prime manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Prime throws a right and a left that both miss.
Prime has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Tyson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Tyson slips under a jab.
Prime keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
It looks like Rodrigo Tyson has been cut.

Tyson wants to clinch up but Prime keeps it at a distance.
Prime looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Tyson has Prime pressed against the cage, preventing Prime from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Tyson throws a punch but it's blocked by Prime.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tyson.
Prime breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Tyson moves in looking to clinch but Prime pushes him off.

Prime misses with a series of wild punches.
Tyson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Prime paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Prime misses with a two punch combination.
Tyson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tyson drops Prime with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Prime looks back up at him and smiles so Tyson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Prime is rocked!

Tyson gets a clinch.
Prime is still on wobbly legs! Can Tyson finish him?
I was talking to Tyson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Tyson creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Prime's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Prime drops to his knees and Tyson pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rodrigo Tyson!

After winning the bout, Rodrigo Tyson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
