The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mies takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Marcelo lands a nice looking body shot.
Mies is breathing heavily.
Marcelo scores with a hook to the body. Mies takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mies takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mies takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marcelo thuds a left hand into Mies's body.
Marcelo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice body punch from Marcelo.
Marcelo connects with a right hand. Mies shakes it off.
Donk. Marcelo catches Mies right on the button with a cross.
Mies is rocked!
Marcelo connects with a body shot that sends Mies's belly button to the back.
Mies could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Marcelo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Marcelo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
and Marcelo counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Mies! He's just covering up as Marcelo starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
