Souwer comes to the cage accompanied by Shakira & Rihanna - Can't Remember To Forget You. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Pereira.
Jab by Pereira.
Souwer misses with a straight right.
Pereira has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Souwer is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Souwer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Souwer with the ground and pound but Pereira uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Souwer throws an elbow that misses. Pereira uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Souwer's guard. Nice move by Pereira!

Souwer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pereira on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Souwer won't allow Pereira to pass to mount.

Souwer has a hand on Pereira's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Pereira takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Souwer holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Pereira tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Pereira can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Souwer is looking to escape.
Poor strikes thrown by Pereira there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Souwer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Souwer tries to get out of the position.

Pereira has hold of Souwer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Souwer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Pereira has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Souwer! Can he survive? No! He's out! Pereira gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
