Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samart Payakaroon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Ruden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Samart Payakaroon!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Ruden!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruden circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ruden on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Payakaroon. Payakaroon obviously looking to wear him down.
Ruden takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Payakaroon motions for Ruden to come forward. Payakaroon throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Ruden gets a double leg takedown into Payakaroon's guard.

Payakaroon looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Samart Payakaroon.

Ruden shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Payakaroon's guard.
Payakaroon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We're going to have a standup here because Samart Payakaroon wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

That was a close round but I would say that Samart Payakaroon will probably get the nod.

Ruden feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round but Samart Payakaroon did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
