PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rusheed Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Wolfe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rusheed Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Wolfe!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wolfe shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Clark's guard.
Wolfe looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Clark is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Clark manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wolfe manages to get himself to full guard.
Clark trying to control but Wolfe is working from the bottom.
Clark stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wolfe swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wolfe is working an open guard so Clark takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Clark forces Wolfe back against the cage and clinches.

Clark pulls Wolfe into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Clark is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wolfe is controlling him.
Wolfe wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.
Clark wants to stand but Wolfe is controlling the position.
Wolfe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Wolfe wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.
Clark throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Clark not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Clark wants to sweep here but Wolfe controlling him for the moment.

Wolfe trying to control the position from guard on top but Clark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Clark wants to stand and escape but Wolfe is having none of it.

Clark had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wolfe defends it easily.
Clark keeping moving, preventing Wolfe from controlling successfully.

Wolfe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wolfe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Clark is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Wolfe is looking to stand up but Clark won't let him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clark keeping moving, preventing Wolfe from controlling successfully.

Wolfe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Wolfe drops back looking for a leg! Clark is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Clark manages to kick Wolfe off! Wolfe jumps back into Clark's guard.

Clark trying to keep a closed guard but Wolfe is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wolfe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rusheed Clark will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Clark has Wolfe up against the cage in a clinch.

Clark pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Clark looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wolfe fails with a takedown attempt.
Clark throws a shot to the body.

Clark shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wolfe's guard.
Clark postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wolfe is trying to control the position but Clark postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Clark is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Clark in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Clark lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Clark looking to pass the guard.
Clark trying to control but Wolfe is working from the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rusheed Clark.
Clark connects with a body shot that sends Wolfe's belly button to the back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Clark clinches.

Clark breaks from the clinch.
Wolfe takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Clark rushes Wolfe and presses him up against the cage.
Wolfe drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Clark gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Clark jumps guard and drags Wolfe to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wolfe's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Clark knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wolfe on the ground.
Clark pulls Wolfe in close to his closed guard and prevents Wolfe from doing any damage or advancing position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Wolfe drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Wolfe seems to have locked his on tight now - Clark screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Wolfe, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Jack Wolfe!
