The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Sharp. Gaarlandt does a little dance to reset his feet.
Some wild striking there from Sharp.
Sharp swings for the body but Gaarlandt moves out of range.

Sharp closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sharp lands in his opponent's guard.
Gaarlandt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gaarlandt pushes a forearm under Sharp's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Sharp is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
