Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Odinson!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Artz.

Odinson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Artz to the ground. Odinson is now in Artz's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Artz is trying to control the position but Odinson postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Artz is looking to sweep but instead, Odinson has passed into half guard.
Artz wants to improve his position but Odinson is controlling well.
Odinson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Odinson prevents Artz from improving his position.
Odinson performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Odinson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Artz is just riding it out for now. Odinson eventually gives up the hold.

Odinson wants to take a breather but Artz is having none of it.
Artz is trying to get back to full guard.
Artz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Artz tries to get out of the position.
Odinson trying to control the pace.
Artz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Odinson on the ground.
Artz is looking to control Odinson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Artz avoid being mounted?
Odinson moves into full mount! Artz won't be happy about that!

Odinson thowing shots but they're missing.
Artz is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Artz wants to control but Odinson is having none of it.

Odinson has control of Artz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Artz regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Odinson working for a submission but Artz is keeping him at bay.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Odinson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
