The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Du Coudray on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Romo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Du Coudray. Romo shrugs it off though.

Du Coudray feints and as Romo raises his hands in defense, Du Coudray changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Romo wants to stand but Du Coudray is controlling the position.
Romo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Du Coudray is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Romo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Romo has escaped and now he's on top!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A bone on bone clash there as Romo blocks the leg kick.
Du Coudray throws a head kick but Romo moves out of range.
Romo connects with an inside leg kick.
Romo scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Du Coudray definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Romo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Du Coudray.
Jab, jab by Du Coudray - just one landing.
Romo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Du Coudray on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Whack! Romo lands a heavy head kick that drops Du Coudray. The ref tackles Romo to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Du Coudray was done.

After winning the bout, John Kyle Romo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
