Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Russ Rutger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole River (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutger comes to the cage accompanied by Hall & Oates - Out of Touch. River has chosen Creedence Clearwater Revival - Born On The Bayou as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Russ Rutger!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Cole River!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from River.
River lands with a good body shot.
Rutger takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and River holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
River avoids the elbow strike from Rutger, against the cage.
Rutger tries a body shot but River blocks it.
Rutger misses with a shot to the kidneys.
River looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Rutger fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Rutger wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but River has him pressed against the cage.

Rutger gets control of River's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rutger will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
River slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Russ Rutger will probably get the nod.

That was a close round but Russ Rutger did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rutger crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from River - the referee stops the clock and Rutger gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says River. Rutger manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

I would just about give that final round to Cole River.
