Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Chandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akihiro Shirasu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chandler's entrance music is Rocky's Theme Song. A fine choice. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akihiro Shirasu!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shirasu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shirasu goes for a double leg but Chandler avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Chandler continues to drive forward.
Chandler tries to break the clinch but Shirasu is controlling the position.

Chandler manages to break the clinch.
Chandler misses with a wild combination.
A jab from Chandler finds it's way through Shirasu's defenses.

It looks like Akihiro Shirasu has been cut.
Shirasu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Chandler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shirasu moves away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Chandler darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Shirasu shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Shirasu was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chandler is trying to buck Shirasu off.

Shirasu is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Chandler looks calm but he's in trouble here. Shirasu gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Chandler is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Shirasu lets go of the hold and Chandler can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Akihiro Shirasu!
A very excited looking Akihiro Shirasu made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
In defeat, Chris Chandler stepped up to the mic, saying 'Well i want to thank the fans first, thank you guys ! I think it's time to head home to montreal and go back to the drawing board. Ive been training in vegas i think it's time to go home , thankks guys'.
