Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 wins, 9 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of New York, Jayden Slash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 wins, 11 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of New York, Yusuke Urameshi!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slash moves into the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Urameshi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Slash misses with a body punch.
Slash is looking for a takedown.
Slash misses with a knee strike.
Slash is looking to take this one to the mat.
Urameshi blocks an uppercut.
A short right from Urameshi on the inside.
Urameshi blocks the elbow strike.
Slash with a knee to the head.

Urameshi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch combination from Urameshi misses.
Slash slips a straight right by Urameshi.
Urameshi shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Urameshi throws a series of punches but Slash moves out of range.

Slash closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Slash blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Urameshi pushes Slash back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Urameshi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Urameshi is pressed up against the cage. Slash has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Urameshi down to the mat. Urameshi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jayden Slash. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Some bone on bone action there as Slash checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

and Slash counters with a nice low kick that buckles Urameshi's knee momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Urameshi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Slash takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Urameshi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Slash has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Slash tries to land knees in the clinch but Urameshi avoids the damage to the body.
Slash lands a left hand.
Urameshi tries to throw a body punch but Slash avoids it by throwing Urameshi back against the cage.
Urameshi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Urameshi blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Slash is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Urameshi avoids a wild elbow strike from Slash.
Slash is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Urameshi.
Slash drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Slash misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Urameshi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Slash's elbow.
Slash tries a body shot but Urameshi blocks it.
Slash throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Slash tries to work over Urameshi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Urameshi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Urameshi swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Urameshi rushes Slash and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Urameshi just leaning against Slash, taking a breather.
Urameshi misses with a hook from the clinch.
Slash is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Slash wants to take the fight to the mat but Urameshi manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Yusuke Urameshi will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Urameshi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Slash lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Slash tries to score a body lock takedown but Urameshi shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Slash gets through Urameshi's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Urameshi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Urameshi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Urameshi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Slash counters with a left and a right that stings Urameshi.
Slash darts in trying to clinch

and Urameshi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Urameshi working some nice short punches in the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Slash just misses with a elbow thrown towards Urameshi's brow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slash wants a takedown but no success here.
Slash will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Urameshi up against the cage.

A nice left hand lands by Urameshi.

Urameshi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Slash on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Urameshi scores with the left hand. Slash knows he should have avoided that one.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Urameshi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jayden Slash is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Slash tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Urameshi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Slash avoids the body shot from Urameshi.
Urameshi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Urameshi lands a leg kick that knocks Slash off balance momentarily.
Urameshi lands with a kick to the temple. Slash shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Oh Slash is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Slash has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Urameshi lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Slash crumples to the floor! Urameshi milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Yusuke Urameshi!
During a confident post fight interview, Yusuke Urameshi thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
