Jarvela comes to the cage accompanied by Real American. Pattersson has chosen The Banana song Peel Banana as his entrance music. Juhani Jarvela has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pattersson shoots in for a takedown but Jarvela shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jarvela jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jarvela looks to land a combination. Pattersson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Doug Pattersson has been cut.
Doug Pattersson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pattersson is trying to trip Jarvela. He has hold of a leg but Jarvela is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Pattersson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pattersson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jarvela circles away quickly and effectively.

Jarvela lands a left and a right that send Pattersson crashing to the mat, dazed. Jarvela thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Doug Pattersson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pattersson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Jarvela feints a jab promting Pattersson to slip. Jarvela then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pattersson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Post fight, Juhani Jarvela took to the microphone: 'I fight anyman, any animal.. And if Jesus were here i'd fight him too.. '.
In defeat, Doug Pattersson stepped up to the mic, saying 'Well.. Didn't expect this to happen to me. Damn, im better than the other guy.. or maybe not!'.
