The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petronovich looking to score a takedown here. Hammond is defending well but Petronovich drives through and ends up in Hammond's guard.
Petronovich pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hammond is keeping the position for now.
Petronovich sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hammond's guard.
Petronovich is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Hammond reverses the position - he's now on top in Petronovich's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Petronovich is on top in guard.
Petronovich is stalling in the full guard.
Petronovich is pushing down on Hammond's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hammond is fighting to maintain full guard but Petronovich has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Petronovich works his foot free and advances to mount.
Petronovich is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hammond can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Hammond is rocked!
It looks like Anibal Hammond has been cut.

Petronovich looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Hammond covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
