The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ataides circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mookjai tries to close the distance and clinch but Ataides swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mookjai motions for Ataides to come forward. Mookjai throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ataides swats away the attempt to clinch by Mookjai.
Ataides just misses with a punch to the body.
We've been told by Ataides's head coaches at >TAPOUT ELITE< that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
No luck for Ataides with that takedown attempt.
Mookjai's coach down at Pitbull MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mookjai's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Ataides has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leandro Ataides. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mookjai scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Nice uppercut lands for Ataides. That snapped Mookjai's head back.

Ataides misses with a takedown attempt - Mookjai sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mookjai drops Ataides onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Ataides is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Oh Ataides is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are playing wrist control here with Ataides pressed against the cage. Mookjai frees himself up and cracks Mookjai with an uppercut straight from the bowels of hell! Ataides crumples to the floor, out cold! Mookjai jumps on to the cage and takes in the roar of the crowd! That was nasty!
