The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filgueiras blocks a leg kick.
A lazy body kick from Thompson
and Filgueiras counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Thompson!

Thompson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Filgueiras is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thompson sees it coming and defends easily.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Thompson.
Filgueiras changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thompson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Filgueiras looks up at the clock and then as Thompson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Filgueiras smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Thompson is still in real trouble! Can Filgueiras finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Filgueiras lands a strong strike to the head of Thompson. That's dazed him! Filgueiras looking to finish here. Thompson is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Filgueiras lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
