Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Alaniz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrique Rold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alaniz comes into the arena with Slippin blaring out of the sound system. Enrique Rold has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rold throws out a leg kick but Alaniz moves out of range and Rold only half commits.
Charlie Alaniz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rold connects with an inside leg kick.
Rold looks for the body kick but Alaniz saw that one coming.
Alaniz walks into a jab.
Rold fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Alaniz on the side of the head.
Alaniz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rold moves away.
Rold throws a low kick but it's checked well by Alaniz.

Alaniz has Rold up against the cage in a clinch.
Rold tries to stall but Alaniz uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Alaniz goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Alaniz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Come on Rold - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Rold tries to land a knee to the head but Alaniz blocks with his arms.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Rold is trying to stall.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Enrique Rold.
Alaniz misses with a right hand
and Rold counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Alaniz thinking.
Rold thows a body shot but no joy.
Horrible takedown by Alaniz or perhaps it was just good defense by Rold which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Alaniz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alaniz throws a body punch but Rold moves out of range.
Rold scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Rold lands a lovely overhand right.
Enrique Rold is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alaniz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rold sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alaniz somewhat.
Alaniz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rold manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Alaniz takes one to the chin there.
Rold looks to score with a jab to the body but Alaniz is just out of range.
Rold connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Alaniz's hands.

and Rold counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Rold seems to be looking for submissions.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Alaniz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rold pulls his head out easily.
