These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I was talking to Elephant 's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Namath has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Namath feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Elephant sprawling to the canvas! Elephant rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Namath finish him?!
Namath throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Elephant sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Namath connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Elephant covering up! Namath comes in with a big uppercut and Elephant goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ryan Namath!
During a confident post fight interview, Ryan Namath thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
In defeat, Eugene Elephant stepped up to the mic, saying 'Congratulations!'.
