The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aves getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Aves moves into the clinch successfully.
Aves tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Punch just stands there and leans against the cage.
Punch lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Punch lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Punch makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Punch digs a right hand underneath Aves's ribcage. Aves let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Aves wants to get back to striking at distance but Punch won't allow it.

Aves goes for a takedown attempt but Punch pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Oh Aves is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Punch has taken the fight to the clinch.
Aves wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Aves seems to have got his legs back now.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Punch.
Punch lands a hook that snaps the head of Aves backwards.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Punch creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Aves is breathing heavily.
Punch lands a right hand that snaps the head of Aves backwards.
Aves is working for takedown but Punch is calmly controlling the position for now.

Aves tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Punch creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Aves with a big uppercut! Aves tries to clinch up but Punch pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Aves to the mat! Aves covers up and Punch unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
