Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cathal Pendred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Mmachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mmachi has chosen Can't Keep Still by KPM Music as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Christopher Mmachi is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christopher Mmachi!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mmachi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Pendred had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mmachi defends it easily.
Mmachi drops back looking for a leg! Pendred is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pendred manages to kick Mmachi off! Mmachi jumps back into Pendred's guard.
Mmachi stands up and waves to Pendred to follow him.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mmachi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

enabling Pendred to counter with a crisp jab.
Pendred really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Pendred throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mmachi's waist but Mmachi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pendred off to one side.
Mmachi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cathal Pendred has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Mmachi.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pendred doesn't have the hooks in and Mmachi manages to turn into his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pendred takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Mmachi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pendred is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Pendred is looking to regain half guard here but Mmachi keeps moving and retains side control.
Mmachi is working to tighten his grip on Pendred's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Pendred has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mmachi is really squeezing tight and eventually Pendred passes out! Mmachi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
