Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Zinisky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akeel Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fred Zinisky!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akeel Lynch!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zinisky doesn't manage to clinch there - Lynch circles away.
Fred Zinisky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zinisky pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lynch blocks a head kick by Zinisky.
Lynch has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Zinisky is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Zinisky takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lynch scores with a jab.
Lynch connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Zinisky tries a head kick but it misses.

Lynch takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Lynch moves out of range of the body kick from Zinisky.
Lynch paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Zinisky throws a head kick but Lynch moves out of range.
Lynch moves into range and connects with a jab.
Zinisky moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zinisky throws a head kick but Lynch moves out of range.

Lynch closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Lynch is looking to take a break and control but Zinisky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lynch is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Lynch has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Lynch lands a couple of good shots and Zinisky has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
What can Zinisky do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Lynch lands with a hammerfist to the side of Zinisky's head.
Lynch is landing with strikes. Zinisky can't take much more of this.
Lynch just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Lynch is riding his opponent, not letting Zinisky buck him off.

Lynch is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Lynch gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Lynch gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Lynch apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Lynch connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Zinisky looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Zinisky throws a head kick but Lynch moves out of range.
Zinisky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lynch closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lynch lands in his opponent's guard.
Lynch seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Akeel Lynch hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zinisky misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Zinisky lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Lynch is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Zinisky had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Lynch scores with a nice right hand.
Zinisky tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Zinisky takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Lynch bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Zinisky gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Lynch is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Lynch controlling the pace for now.
Lynch trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lynch might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Zinisky haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akeel Lynch dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lynch looks up at the clock and then as Zinisky takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lynch smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

A relieved looking Akeel Lynch thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
