Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Coffey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Burklin!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coffey tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Burklin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Coffey won't be happy with that.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Burklin controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coffey is trying to get back to half guard.

Burklin decides to stand back up. Burklin steps back and let's Coffey get back to his feet.
Coffey does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Coffey tries to sprawl but Burklin drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Coffey wants to get back to full guard.
Coffey connecting with a few gentle strikes.
Burklin working over Coffey with some ground and pound. Coffey looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Coffey landing rabbit punches to the side of Burklin's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burklin lands strikes from half guard.
Coffey tries to get to full guard but Burklin has control of the leg.
Burklin controlling the pace.
Coffey is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Burklin pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Coffey tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Burklin working Coffey over with strikes here.
Coffey takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Burklin's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Burklin!
